Paul Cluver Wines is located in the cool-climate Elgin Valley. This family-run winery has roots that go back four generations. Recognised as pioneers of wine in the area, the focus is on producing elegant wines that are expressive of the terroir. The winery forms part of larger holistic farming business called 'De Rust Estate'. In addition to the vineyards and cellar, there are apple and pear orchards, a Hereford stud and eco-tourism activities, including amphitheatre concerts and mountain biking, on the farm. The estate forms part of the UNESCO world heritage site, the Kogelberg Biosphere. Half of the estate has been set aside for conservation into perpetuity.

The wine farm pulls out all the sops to make this an event you want to come back to. Great food and sumptuous Paul cluver wine combined with plenty for the kids to do. Perhaps more entertainment at the arena, but with such a beautiful...More

A close friend tried to re-introduced me to Riesling. So off we go to visit Paul Cluver as they are the only manufacturers of this wine in our surrounds. We really were looking forward to a stunning outing. Although the Riesling we tasted was really...More

I have always experienced and associated Paul Cluver wines with sophistication and quality wines. The tasting experience was very disappointing: although the staff was friendly, their knowledge on their own wines was horrible. They also had very little to no stock of their own product.

It is a beautiful wine area. The gardens looked beautiful. I really wanted some apple brandy but instead got some great wines! The lady was friendly and helpful.

Arrived at the small, unassuming wine tasting cottage to be met by the old black dog that has become this winery's mascot. Paul himself greeted us and gave us a fantastic wine and chocolate tasting. The Malbec was our favorite and we ended up purchasing...More
