We walked from the car park in to town, went passed the beach huts and lido. It was a sunny day with lots of people about enjoying the sun. It’s a lovely walk up to the marina.

Nice beach, muddy and shallow seafront for kids, playground, public toilets, great ice-cream! Enjoyable enough, definitely recommend to bring a beach umbrella as there's no shade.

clean & tidy, lido, paddling, cafes & toilets, parking, playgrounds, walks However it's not really sand - because 3 inches down is black mud. At high tide, there is a lot of old concrete

Take a lovely walk along the prom to the beach, pass by beach huts, cafe and boating lake - all clean, tidy and calm. Perfect for families

I am proud of my town and especially the beach and promenade area. It's clean and cared for and the locals take a pride in the area which in turn brings in the visitors. Well done all involved

We were there in April so really didn't take much notice. As a dog owner though the general rule is May 2 End of Aug no dogs are allowed on most beaches. Having said that most beaches have DOG FRIENDLY sections. I live in... More

Not between certain times of the year 1 May to 30 September between the beach and the swimming pool but there is lots of other parts down near the water that dogs are allowed.
