About
Connemara Isles Golf Club is a 9 (18) hole links golf course set in the stunning location of south Connemara bounded by the Atlantic ocean. The course and clubhouse is truly unique as they date back pre- famine times. With the traditional thatched clubhouse, and the spectacular views of the Twelve Bens mountains, quaint surrounding and the sea, this is a truly Irish and exciting golfing experience.

Jewel of a golf course
Jul 2021
This golf course is set in a beautiful and tranquil location. Most of the holes aren't long but they are challenging. The water makes it very interesting but bring lots of spare golf balls. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Cracking spot!!
Aug 2019 • Solo
Called in this morning to play the course and have been amazed how beautiful the course is. It is located on the very edge of the wild and rugged coast. Holes 2, 3, 5, 6 and 9 are truly breathtaking with alot of water involved. I have played alot of top quality links golf courses around Ireland (Royal County Down, Royal Portrush, Donegal Golf Club, Seapoint etc.) and whilst the greens could do with some tlc this course beats them all for views. If you are a long hitter then the big stick will only need used on the 6th to carry the water. Every other hole needs careful club selection. Tony in the clubhouse was very welcoming and every member I met was more than friendly. Can't wait until I can get back down to play it again.

Unexpectedly brilliant

Myself, my fiancé and his parents arrived at the club on the 17th May. The gents planned 18 holes and we planned to sit and have a read in the clubhouse with a drink. We walked in and thought it would be terrible.... it was the opposite! Wonderful people, so welcoming helpful and friendly! We stayed for 3 hours before staggering up to the 18th hole to see our partners come in. Couldn’t recommend this more! Guys enjoyed golf so much (not best kept course but fantastic setting!) and we had a hoot chatting to Tony and the lovely ladies behind the bar. Best Guinness in Ireland bar NONE! That includes the Guinness factory in Dublin by the way. Stephen Fry enjoyed 6 pints of it there and doesn’t even play golf so can’t be bad!
Absolutely top notch. Thanks for having us

An unexpected discovery of a small (9 holes)golf course in a challenging and extraordinarily beautiful setting. A small clubhouse, very friendly, passionate and helpful people run and manage this golf course. I recommend it highly for a fun morning or afternoon.

Very friendly club in a lovely setting. Lots of visitors who throw rule book out the window regarding pace of play. Be prepared for 6 hour rounds potentially. Greens are a little bumpy and need some work. There are 3 9s and as to which 2 you play seems very as hoc and chaotic. A and B are the best as regarded by members but we were told that A and B definitely were the best. C had to be altered heavily from plans. Roads to the club very slow and windy. Fine if you are used to that (I am) but with plenty of visitors driving on the left hand side it can all get a bit slow. Money should be invested in maintaining the quality of the main 18 and ditch C. Do you actually need 27 holes? Same criticism of Belmullet. Overall quite good but could be made quite a bit better.

Fascinating challenge
Apr 2018 • Couples
It's a tight challenging nine hope course. So for eighteen holes it's two rounds with different tees. The different tees placements make a subtle difference to the holes. Lots of water to test your nerve; bring plenty of balls! Lovely old clubhouse, very friendly staff and great Guinness. Not to be missed when in the area.

We had the pleasure of golfing here in the sunshine today. A huge thanks to Tony for looking after us so well. We made the trip from Westmeath and it is well worth the drive. The golf course is amazing esp hole 3!! It's a good challenge with many slopes in the fairways to negotiate. We will def be returning. Great days fun.

What a place!!!

I had a fantastic day here. The golf is one of the most unique courses I have played. While only 9 holes this course should be added to bucket list golfers. Great craic post round in the unique clubhouse which was the family home.

NB look them up on Facebook as website didn't seem to be operational.

Breathtaking Golf Course
Mar 2017
Breathtaking golf course. Early Ruddy/ Craddick design, built by Sean Lynch. The 9 are so good U'll want to play them twice. 5th and 6th are stunning holes. Green tricky and fast). Its a must play and experience.

Gorgeous course, always try to get here every time I'm in the area. Expect to lose a few balls to the Atlantic.
