What a fabulous walk and well signposted mostly. Although promoted to all the guests by our rep I wouldn't recommend it to the less sure-footed. More suited to a hiker or a mountain goat but what spectacular views. The main road journeys albeit limited are...More

Beautiful views from the pathway. Cobblestone paths rough on the feet, wear appropriate footwear, but worth sore feet the day after. Steep in sections, but doable and views always worth the effort. Be sure to pick up the map of thr Greenway, much easier to...More

The southern section of this walk is lovely. Very easy going and provides great views from the shore and up above. Would recommend ending in Lenno where there are many nice places to stop for lunch. We'd planned to do the full walk but shortly...More

We stayed at Lenno and walked both ways on different days. The walk north takes you through some interesting hamlets and chapels. We stopped before Tremezzo and turned back. There are no bars or other refreshment stops on this stretch. The second day we walked...More

The route involves a lot of road walking along the main coast road which is not the best. Crowded in places with a lot of traffic The best walk is from Lenno up to the sacred mount. There are 14 chapels leading up to the...More

One of the main issues about the villages up the west coast of Lake Como is the bust road which runs through. The Greenway is a lovely way of keeping off that on foot. My daughter and I ran from Sala Comacina to the start...More

Some of our most enjoyable holiday time on Lake Como has been walking the Greenway del Lago, but there are a few points, which deserve a mention. The views are fabulous, but the walk only stretches for about 11km from Colonno to Griante (or vice...More

If you take the ferry to villa Carlotta, and walk into Tremezzo, there is a tourist information office. They should be able to help you.
