We really enjoyed ourselves at the Heritage Centre. The Gentlemen that run the place were so friendly and informative. Good displays of local history backed up with commentary by people who lived/live in the area. Some of the exhibits were interactive and there were puzzles...More

Takes about an hour but good value for money. If you are a railway enthusiast you will love it but is much more.

Visited for the first time by bus from Hexham whilst on holiday in the area, and will definitely be back. The Heritage Centre is packed with local interest, including the former railway to Bellingham. The volunteer staff were friendly and knowledgable, with the small admission...More
