We live near here and walk it every day. There are so many paths to the summit varying to suit walkers, runners and bikers alike, it's excellent. The tower is currently sporting a large bra from the flag pole which always brings a smile. The...More

Not particularly well posted from the town, as we were on foot, despite asking for directions in the library and we lost our way initially. Once we found the path, had a great walk and stunning views from the top. Some wonderful volunteers mending the...More

Just loved the walk up through the woods and up the hill to the tower. It was a bit of a puff but an invigorating experience.

You can see Scolty and the tower upon it from all over Banchory. The walk up from the town centre is pleasant especially when you enter the woods. The actual climb up to the summit can be a bit steep but there are a number...More

You can take the easy route or the more challenging steeper one. Either way, once you get to the top, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views. Well worth it!

A really nice walk from Banchory. Takes only around two hours if you take the slightly longer route. You need to be reasonably fit as there are some quite steep hills to ascend and descend. Great views from the top if it’s a clear day.
