This is a big church which dominates the town. We arrived soon after a nice lady had unlocked it. She made us very welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed looking all over the church, finding many fascinating features. The font is especially good. We do have...More

St Petroc's church is the biggest church in Cornwall. It's a beautiful church and the ladies who unlock it are very welcoming and friendly. The church is only open on selected days in the Summer months.

Even with road works this place is just beautiful , you can walk around the church freely and the grounds which are well kept. Bought a candle and card from unmanned shop. Calming.

We were in the area and saw the signs for the tree festival. We are so pleased we visited as there was a beautiful display. Refreshments available too.

My wife and I went to midweek communion. It is a very beautiful old church with a kind and welcoming congregation. We were made to feel very welcome.

The only church in Cornwall I found locked. Visited over 30 whilst I was here in towns and rural locations - all open except this one. Advertised as open May to September only. For such an important building it is ridiculous that it is open...More

Visited on 9/9/15 at 1.30 and again on the same day at 2.30. Despite the website saying that the Church was open daily until the end of September, and a large permanent sign outside the Church confirming that it was open, the door was locked...More

Beautiful church and full of history. I discovered in 1995 that a family with my maiden name had their baby baptized here in the 1500's and since I have been able, through research and DNA testing, to become highly confident that this is indeed a...More
