Very welcoming and friendly staff both at the attraction and in the cafe. We enjoyed following the trail around the jail, interesting and shocking stories of justice! Looks a bit tired and building work going on to convert part into a hotel, so don’t think...More

Having always wanted to visit here and see the old cells and get a good feel for the history we were very sadly disappointed. We weren't aware of the renovations to the cells - which is the heart of this building and the main reason...More

Visited today. Five free car parking spaces for disabled. If you are disabled you will never get around the site, you may make it to the cafe! If you are not disabled pay to park and walk for 10 mins to get there. Too many...More

Having never been to Bodmin Gaol before I thought today would be a good day to experience one of Cornwalls many attractions. Boy was I disappointed, staff were few and far between, chatting to each other or on their phones. The unattended displays were awful,...More

Brilliant visit, felt some breezes in certain areas (no windows open etc) and a very calm spot - partner also felt the same. Highly recommend

Once a working jail now just a tourist attraction. Very interesting tour over many floors with lots of interesting stories in every area. Knowledgeable staff on hand which makes it even more fascinating. We also looked at their future plans which included making cells into...More

Although renervations were taking place in the cells and we could not enter we still enjoyed our visit to Bodmin Jail. The entry fee was reasonably priced and there were several floors (lots of steps) showing the history and the stories that happened 100's of...More

I visited here with family on a rainy day and really regret going. Even though £10 is cheap for an attraction I find it’s way too steep when the main attraction (the cell blocks) is closed off due to making it into a hotel. If...More

It would also help if the owners responded to some of the comments. At the end of the day all we are trying to do is to help them run a successful business.
