Visited here with my husband and teenage son. It was a lovely day out with beautiful scenery. Recommended by a friend and would definitely visit again.

This is a wonderful, peaceful place,especially early in the morning when it is not busy. We walk our borrowed dogs in the quiet of the early morning(after our own dear, faithful friends died) The only sounds are of birdsong, the occasional sheep on the hillside...More

Lovely area, peaceful in the heart of Lancashire yet only a short distance from Bolton.beautiful wooded walks and super meals available at Strawbury Duck, Entwistle

What a beautiful place. I went for the first time today, it will not be the last time. Probably helped with it being glorious sunshine, so I dressed appropriately. , however if I go on a rail day it won’t be an issue, just again...More

My favourite walk in Bolton fantastic scenery and make sure you walk through the woods then lunch at the strawberry duck enjoy

A lovely walk around this reservoir, with excellent views all around. Much of the time, the only sound is birdsong. But there had been lots of rain in the days prior to our visit and much of the path was really muddy - our walking...More

Great getaway between Bolton, Blackburn & Rossendale. A superb walk, with a visit to the Strawbury Duck at Entwistle and finishing up with a bite to eat in the Chetham in Chapeltown, made for a very pleasant afternoon on a blustery February day.

Walked round this area today which was breathtaking. Beautiful scenery and the water from the reservoir glistening in the sunshine. Stunning walks and definitely enjoyable for all ages. Great to see so many people out.

There were a couple of people with pushchairs on the day I went to Entwislte. There was one particular spot that was a bit narrow but they had got through ok.

You can do it in 60/70 mins. we take a flask tho when with the children and sit down and have tea and cake so takes us about an hour and half.

I wouldnt go on bikes. its really for walkers.
