Had a lovely trip over to IOM, we did have a very smooth crossing either way, so that helps. Small shop on board to look in. Coffee and snacks, food available.

Ferry from Gresham. Quick to get on. Smooth crossing. Food reasonable price. Try and get a seat with a table. Other seats a bit restricted for legs.

Trip across from Liverpool to IoM, have to say the ferry was spotlessly clean, and looked in great shape, but all the staff from check in to catering were excellent. I know there was no problem or emergency and the crossing was very smooth so...More

We had a return voyage, Heysham to Douglas, on the Ben-my-Chree. The sea was calm both ways, for which we were thankful. It's a long crossing - 3½+ hours - and there's not much to do, so make sure you have plenty of reading material,...More

Pleasant trip on board the Manannan, calm weather worked in our favour. Plenty of on board entertainment including two cinemas, showing the nut job and BFG. Food and drink available at ok prices, a shop and plenty of available seating. The boat was well maintained...More

Drinks and food not too expensive, staff polite and helpful. Bad on board, as well as a little shop. Wi-Fi has to be purchased at customer service desk. Well organised. We were lucky and had two calm crossings.

Easy to board as a foot passenger, stairs, lifts and gangways. Lovely staff. Lot of car and coach passengers and all seemed to be very satisfied.

Not on Mannanan. There is some open deck seating on Ben my Chree on deck 8 at the stern. Exits to open deck by the lift and central staircase.
