When visiting the Isle of Wight definitely visit the Donkey Sanctuary. We spent a couple of hours here and it was a pleasure to see the contented Donkeys.

Love the donkeys, love the sanctuary. Every time we go there have been extensions & improvements to give the donkeys & ponies the best quality of life. The cafe always has lovely cakes (and snacks) and the volunteers are wonderful. Recommend, Recommend, recommend 😀

Yep it’s loads of Donkeys being looked after by some really dedicated volunteers. Don’t expect to find much more than a load of donkeys in fields and stables, a little gift shop and cafe. It was nice to look around for an hour.

Definitely worth a visit when you are in IOW. It is free and you meet so many donkies and even a few ponies. Kids love it and mostly all donkies have name tags on their necks so it's fun to match them to the name...More

Only after a wet period . The site has a concrete driveway through the main areas ,and there are grass walkways through the paddocks .
