Visited on a Monday night, as our regular 'sit outside' pub is closed on a Monday, and we didn't want to have to sit in a smoky beer garden or inside to be assaulted by televisions, so the choice in Wigan becomes somewhat limited. The...More

Around 2 mins from The Anvil, this is a nice little Micro-Pub with mostly Martland Mill beers. They do however have a few ciders and some specialist bottles & cans (for eg. Beavertown & Tiny Rebel). Past the bar there is a mock-beer garden (think...More

Read the reviews .. sounded ok so paid a visit . I've heard very mixed reports about Martland mill beer . It's ok - certainly not anything to remark upon . The place looks very DIY . It was very quiet at the time of...More

I didn't expect to travel to Wigan and have a pint of D Day Dodger in a pub flying a rainbow flag! What an excellent little micro-pub. There is a small bar with the conservatory area out back and another small area upstairs. With great...More

Lovely time whenever we visit! Beer garden terrace area is lovely to sit in and is sheltered so doesn't get too cold. Great selection of beers and gins too. Had a Liverpool raspberry gin there recently which was delicious!

Small place but always made welcome, some good beer on from Martland Brewery. Usually packed on a Saturday night and can be a squeeze, they have a few artists on which is usually Sunday.

Great pint of real ale served with a great atmosphere. The beer is brewed by the owner Paul and he knows his stuff. Live music and the odd beer festival thrown in for good measure.
