A jewel nestled on the edge of Wigan town centre, with a touch of Victorian glory. Formal gardens, a bandstand and waterfall, sit side by side a pavilion building which houses Frederick’s ice cream parlour, the listed Entrance Lodge and children’s play area. Mesnes Park hosts events in the park and the bandstand throughout the year.

Lovely park and walk but too many dog's unsupervised off leads. This causes problems for dogs on leads. Some dog owners who go to mesnes park don't seem to care what their dog's are doing and are oblivious to their dogs whereabouts so for that...More

Nice park shame it is not appreciated by the locals. Plants are being pulled up by the kids and there is no respect

I got married here june 2017, it was the best location to do it, staff were very friendly and even the weather came out for us, I highly recommend this if anyone is thinking of doing it too.

Lovely park which is clean and well looked after. You can buy bird feed from the cafe shop for the ducks and the ice creams are delicious. Nice way to pass the time on a sunny afternoon without having to spend loads of money.
