Nothing special really but a nice route to use in getting around old Durham. Beware this is a hilly town and to walk the river requires a good deal of up and down but it’s fun and relaxing

This walk took in lovely views of the cathedral and there were swans nesting further up the river. A lot of building work at the moment but when finished it will be great

This is part of the joy of Durham. Take the walk from the main road up to the bridge and cross over to either continue this beautiful and historic walk or enter the Cathedral.

It was a pleasant walk. A beautiful place. We could see several people walking or running. If you're ever in Durham it's a must do.

We only walked about 30 minutes on one side and back on the other so an hour altogether at a leisurely pace starting from west of the castle near silver st bridge.
