In Durham for a College reunion and reading about this exhibition it was a "no-brainer". It was not cheap (all of the other exhibits are free) this exhibition is based on a relatively recent discovery of a mass grave under what is now an extension...More

We were directed to the Scottish soldiers exhibition by one of the days out for families websites. It was well put together but clearly not aimed at small children (we had three) and with six of us it wasn't cheap. A couple of spelling mistakes...More

Thank you for visiting our exhibition and providing your feedback. We will definitely look into the spelling mistakes. We try to offer value for families with a family ticket option but we will take your comment into consideration when planning our next exhibition pricing.

Not the easiest of places to see and navigate. There is a map which is difficult to follow. Some exhibitions are free others you have to pay and we could not work out which was where or where the cafe was so we left.More

We went in to see an exhibition on 10,000 years of Durham. Well explained, well laid out and interesting objects. Free and well worth a look round. Other temporary exhibitions are open from time to time.

Our current temporary exhibition is now open: Bodies of Evidence: How science unearthed Durham’s dark secret. The exhibition is open until the 7th October so hopefully you can see this if you are back to Durham before then. Hopefully see you again soon.

The brilliance of this exhibition lies in its brevity. Thoughtfully curated, it conveys the very essence of all that lies at the heart of the DLI and its lasting legacy in our region. Take your time and give every element your full attention, for everything...More
