Popped in for a drink on way back to Town House hotel it was a lovely pub with great owners and excellent choice of beers made to feel welcome and will certainly return when in Durham next time

Quirky little pub unchanged since University days. Welcoming and warm. We didn't eat today but have in the past. Meals being served today looked delicious. Good memories.

Following a lovely Sunday afternoon walk we happened apon this lovely little pub where you slide the door to enter the snug. Great welcome form the bar staff and nibbles on the counter.

The only pub in durham I'd not been in final sun , came to a camra meeting to meet fellow members and drink and sum banter, will Defo be back

This is always our first port of call on our trips to Durham. It's quaint and serves up a nice drink, real ales for the husband and son. See you next time

We have a lounge bar for 60-70 people which can be used exclusively for functions. Please contact us in the pub or on Facebook for events.
