Can’t really speak to the architecture, but worship was lovely and the many layers of history both political and religious were awe-inspiring. Both Cuthbert and Bede have accessible shrines in the precincts.

A beautiful space. A very friendly welcome. Lots of information. Glorious windows such peace and tranquility. Excellent extra facilities, catering, toilets etc. Also a must see is the fabulous Lego model of the cathedral that has raised so much money for the building.

Half the people there are carrying cameras. Most are also taking taking pictures when cathedral personnel are not watching.
