Nice easy walk which only takes about 30 mins with a couple of nice places to stop. A word of warning, the final ascent is up a grassy hill and if your partner is wearing 'Ugg' boots she's likely to slip about 8 times and...More

This walk is easy to find at the top of Brantfell Road. The first part of the walk is uphill naturally, but is fine for most able-bodied people, not too strenuous. The walk is well signposted at the beginning but once you are nearing the...More

I would thoroughly recommend the walk up through the woods to this viewpoint. Wear walking boots as it can be a bit muddy, uneven and there is some sheep poo :) We were lucky and had a clear, sunny day (setting off at about 11.30am),...More

A pleasant and easy little walk that's within easy reach of Bowness and at the top of a 30 minute climb, great views of Lake Windermere.

This is a very nice walk that takes you from the centre of Bowness to the top of the fell. It’s steep in places so not suitable for the infirm, but can still be done by most people. Great views over Windermere and towards Barrow...More

Staying at a nearby B&B, this was one of 6 walks they recommended in the area. We set off with instructions, water and walking sticks! A gentle walk on the road to start with, followed by a track and through a kissing gate. The climb...More

Well worth the walk. It is not at all difficult and would take less than 30 minutes from the centre of Bowness. The only steep part is walking up the road from the Main Street in the village, after that it is much easier. The views...More

A nice little walk not far from the centre of Bowness with an amazing view at the end. If you get the opportunity, I'd definitely recommend this walk. Plus, if it's a nice day, take a picnic!

You couldn't get to the top of the fell with any kind of pram. It's very steep and I don't think some could manage it on foot.
