Set either side of the coastal path with the harbour on one side and Portland on the other. there is easy access for everyone and the sunset can be quite something from these gardens.

Nice to see the new displays but the gardens look dated and unkept.....will still visit each time I come to Weymouth as it provides a quiet place to walk.....

revisitting after a few years found the displays had changed. The fort is on three levels but is accessed by stairs or lift.Volunteer staff friendly and helpful. Admission prices very good, would like to visit again when next in Weymouth.

Following a visit to the fort (a must) we had a lovely stroll round the gardens - plenty of varied trees / shrubs and lots of benches to just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet whilst looking out across the harbour.

The gardens are free to walk around - the Fort has an entrance fee. The gardens are pleasant well kept, seats to relax on.
