We were told about the Rodwell Trail so decided to try it. It is relatively flat as it follows a section of the the old railway between Weymouth and Portland. As such, it is also keenly used by bicycles (it is part of a national...More

This is a very pleasant area for a walk or bike ride. The stretch between Sandsfoot Castle and The Ferrybridge being the more scenic. This part is open, bright and friendly, you can carry your walk on across the Ferrybridge towards Portland and have a...More

This walk was very dull - it is nearly all set into the railway embankment with no views whatsoever. You could be walking anywhere and there are much more scenic and interesting walks to do. So don’t bother in my view.

Super easy walk from Weymouth but sometimes you get the odd mad cyclist - probably the Lycra. But highly recommended as an easy walk on an old railway line now levelled and tarmac covered

The walk is along the old railway track that led from Weymouth station to Portland. it is on hard ground so walking boots not necessary. The views are not great due to overgrowth of foliage but mainly because the line goes through cuttings. Far better...More

this is a lovely walk mainly on one level with a few small slopes, no hills. Ideal for the starter walker. It has the great views over Portland docks as well as Weymouth.

The problem with this walk is that most of it is in cuttings of the old railway so there is no real views for much of it. Popular with dog walkers, watch out for cyclists!

A lovely push chair friendly walk. Lovely coastal views on a clear sunny day. Would have benefited from a cafe at the end of the trail!! We really enjoyed it with a push chair and two dogs it was a nice walk to do

So sorry, only just seen the question as not on here very often. Just in case still relevant, cross the bridge across Weymouth Harbour and it's on the left off the start of Abbotsbury Road, next to some 'figure' cut-outs.
