Very impressive when you turn into the entrance gates.Allow plenty of time as there is lots to see. Excellent restaurant on site with good choice and reasonable prices.Town of Barnard Castle very close and well worth visiting.

Dogs are allowed in the garden but not the museum entry is £14 or £12 concession £30 family 2 adults 4 children. you can go back as many times as you want that year. Well worth the money
