Discovered this little pub by chance on a visit to Barnard Castle. Very friendly and helpful lady talked to me about the beers available. Wonderful atmosphere - everyone happy and enjoying socialising together. Good choice of real ales.

Passed through Barnard Castle and found this gem...Friendly and welcoming hosts, excellent choice of beer served to perfection. An asset to the town.

Very friendly hosts with a great selection of beers our second time at Bernard castle and the pub is as good as last year.
