We had a walk along this beach and enjoyed our visit while at Highcliffe Castle. We had no idea such a fantastic beach existed in the UK and it was so unspoilt and vast that we would certainly come here again and again.

Easy car parks, facilities, beach huts! I love a beach with beach huts. There are a fair amount of stones on the Avon part of the beach but if you turn left onto the Friars Cliff part it is much sandier. Very lovely beach. I...More

Go to Avon beach, they said. It's beautiful, they said. It's the best beach around, they said. Well it;s the best beach on Avoin beach, as it;s the only one. Other than that, this is the worst beach I've been to on this otherwise beautiful...More

Really enjoyed our day out here, was recommended by a friend after wanting somewhere different to go. We didn't eat here, so can not comment on food or eating places. Lovely little walk and lovely beach to relax and enjoy

Spent hours at this beach and had a lovely time with my 2 boys who loved walking along the beach and skimming stones. I really enjoyed a break away from my usual hectic life on this beautiful, chilled beach.

Parking fee is average. The lobster restaurant is well over priced ,along with the fish and chip shop which charges an arm and a leg for a portion of chips anywhere else would call small and they call normal size. Calamari at £5 a portion....More

I think you will find it too shallow for snorkelling unless tide is fully in. Sandbanks are just off beach that are exposed at low tide. People walk to them ankle deep water. Whilst good for children. I think you will find... More
