Any time of year brings something special down the forest. Stunning scenery, wild deer and boar, great cafes, steam railways, ponds, streams, villages, speech house, puzzle wood, rspb spots, symmonds yat, Dean heritage, and so much more. Go see and enjoy!!!

lots of walks and places to visit. great wildlife, we saw a stag. wild boar are slowly destroying the place which isn't good as so beautiful!!

Excellent tourist area with simething for the whole family. Great walks and cycle paths , historic features, including iron mines and roman remains, unpretentious towns and villages, within easy reach of Gloucester, Bristol, Hereford and Cardiff.

The Sculpture trail, at Beechenhurst, is a great walk for kids. It's quite long, but there are short cuts back to the lodge if the children get tired. A map/guide can be bought from the café. Or RSPB Nagshead at Parkend... More
