I agree with other reviewers, a secluded quiet stroll it isn’t. Narrow pathways where you are corralled with other families to follow numerous routes, some very narrow. Maybe a victim of its own success and maybe not a place to engage a 14 yr old....More

Absolutely stunning to look at but DON'T go here if you want a quiet woodland walk. You will never be out of sight of other people (we went mid-morning in August). Go to see the the fantastic (small) wood but if you want a bit...More

I'm not sure what we were all expecting but the wood was simply not as special as all the reviews had lead me to expect. My kids used up their maze enthusiasm on the indoor one and tempers frayed outside.

We had heard about this place ever since we moved to Gloucestershire. Fantastic place - just a little unnerving as we were there a bit late and slightly anxious we would never find our way out! Amazing place. Very friendly reception.

We were quite disappointed with our visit to puzzle wood. Films have been recorded here so it would have been nice to have information boards around the wood. The woods are very lovely to walk around but you could do that for free in lots...More

Visited here with my wife when we were on a short break staying near Ross on Wye. Having visited back in the 80's as a child I wanted to revisit and see if it was still as magical. I have to say it did not...More

We only had a short visit but thoroughly enjoyed our walk through the wood. The children enjoyed finding the Roman coins and the various features such as the dinosaur feet and balance beam. The adults were in awe of the of the natural features and...More

Went here as reviews seemed great. Ok to start off with but then got bored as this is a place where films and tv shows have been filmed. Would of been great to see some info boards around saying which parts of the wood were...More

It takes approx. 1 to 1.5 hours to figure it out. We walked around without seeing the same parts until we were walking out. There are no maps! Good Luck.

My apologies for not writing back sooner, ill health prevented me from doing so. No, you cannot cycle around Puzzlewood. The wood itself is full of different levels and tree-roots. However, on the upside, there is a... More
