Postcode NE9 7TY will take you to the Angel of the North where you'll find plenty of parking and a gentle upward slope to the statue. Really impressive iconic feature that I could see from 2 miles away :)

This is a “Must do” when in the North East, plenty of free parking adjacent and usually a snack van for those hungry visitors. Photo opportunities galore and an information board giving all the interesting details, well worth a visit.

This is a fabulous piece of work and quite an amazing sight. I had always read about it but never seen it. It is huge but thoughtfully designed and positioned . It is far bigger than I had imagined. An absolute “ must see”.

Well worth pulling into the convenient little lay-by-esque car park to take in the massive Anthony Gormley sculpture if you are passing. Larger than I imagined and a lot more impressive, there are benches and grass so you can picnic too if you want to...More
