I do indeed like to be beside the seaside and Grange-over-Sands is a surprisingly pleasant place. I spotted the promenade on the way out to Ulverston, and decided to get off on my way back. I took a nice leisurely evening stroll up the promenade...More

What a place of a early morning walk. The views are fantastic. You can see black Blackpool Tower over 30 miles away. And the hills in the Yorkshire Dales. And after a walk there are plenty of tea rooms for a cuppa. Great.

running the length of Grange-over-Sands between the railway and the salt-marshes is the early 20th century promenade. It's great views over Morcambe Bay and Arnside Knott to Lancashire's moorlands. The gardens along the promenade are a delight and there are several traditional tearooms.

Pleasant walk in relaxed atmosphere great ever changing views across the bay- pity the lido had gone to wrack and ruin and that it was raining!

Called in as we hadn't been for a couple of years to see if anything had changed. It hadn't. Still all run down which is such a shame as the area is so nice.

Very well kept with no litter and lovely borders, the gardens and lake are lovely to. You can walk all the way along the promenade which was quite busy when we were there. There are two tea rooms and a play area for children.

If in the area I would definately recommend a walk along the pier, the views are beautiful and the shrubbery gardens all along the pier are really pleasant and in keeping with the area. Along the Osiris are toilets, lark, mini golf and a couple...More

This is an easy flat walk along Morecambe Bay easily accessible from the car park. There's a wonderful cafe called Emma's that's well worth a visit.

It took us only 5 minutes from the main car park at Grange Over Sands. I also recommend Choco-Lori Belgian Chocolate Shop & Cafe in Grange - It's a chocoholics Paradise !
