We usually go here every year and food is great not sure what happened this year ... very sad jacket potato and limp salad service staff at the bar jolly but left you standing in middle of order and saw someone else. Sorry not very...More
Seaside place that looks in dire need of a face lift more amusement arcades than you could manage in a week let alone a day shops either closed or may as well be the plus is the beach and on top of it all the...More
great yarmouth, just come back 6/8/2018 for 3 days .what a disapointment ,very run down town, empty shops every where ,sleepless people in empty shop door ways and beggers every where ,rubbish every where,it had a very bad feeling about the place ,pleasure park closed...More
My first visit and I understand why some people refer to Great Yarmouth as the Blackpool of the East Coast. It brought back memories of long gone days of spending summer days on cold windswept beaches as a kid, solely because it was summer and...More
Traffic was horrendous with roadworks in and out of Yarmouth. Parking £8 for day with walk down to pier with plenty of benches on way to Pier which has too many attractions. Good shopping centre and large Sainsburys close by.
The whole area is now looking very tired and run down.
I used to visit as a child over 30 years ago, and I accept times have changed, but it's dreadful now.
Parking is nearly a five an hour. Not exactly encouraging people is it....More
Lovely beach here, lots of golden sand but you do get shingle up to the sea but as long as you’ve got flip flops for the kids they still enjoy it. So much to do with Joyland and the pleasure beach, lots of gift shops,...More
Plenty to do and see sone free mostly paid it was a glorious sunny day like been abroad with a gentle wind .it wasn’t as busy as thought as wonder if kids here have broke up got summer hols as we came here last Wednesday.
If you want to lose 3 teenagers all day and feel like you’re abroad ... (but with more foreign languages spoke among local populous) then in the sunshine, GY is fantastic.
I was born here but my daughter lives in Cambridge and watching her up...More

Lots of people have mentioned the car parking on here, as a repeat visitor to great yarmouth let me pass on a tip: if you park in the two car parks either end of the golden mile (opposite pleasure beach and next to the bowls greens at the other end) the price is very reasonable, £7.50 for all day... We've turned up at 9.30 and stayed until after 5pm, they aren't even off the beaten path either! The other car parks in between ARE ridiculous though! As for the toilets there are lots along the sea front and most are well maintained and clean, I can only think of one that's a tad dodgy but it's still cleaner than a lot of public toilets I've come across at beaches!
