My first visit and I understand why some people refer to Great Yarmouth as the Blackpool of the East Coast. It brought back memories of long gone days of spending summer days on cold windswept beaches as a kid, solely because it was summer and...More

Traffic was horrendous with roadworks in and out of Yarmouth. Parking £8 for day with walk down to pier with plenty of benches on way to Pier which has too many attractions. Good shopping centre and large Sainsburys close by.

The whole area is now looking very tired and run down. I used to visit as a child over 30 years ago, and I accept times have changed, but it's dreadful now. Parking is nearly a five an hour. Not exactly encouraging people is it....More

Lovely beach here, lots of golden sand but you do get shingle up to the sea but as long as you’ve got flip flops for the kids they still enjoy it. So much to do with Joyland and the pleasure beach, lots of gift shops,...More

i thought trip adviser took fake reviews seriously. I have been reading this for ten minutes and it is constant plagiarism, e.g ( promenade nice and flat, lots of SLOT MACHINE, eateries, blah guff blah.) if anyone who can read spot found a ball can realize 90% of these reviews are pants. I thought this was meant to be a serious site where you can get truthful honest reviews of places around the world. I think this site should have its own review letting guff like this in. Over and over. ( just look at pics and style and grammar). This comment will be forwarded to Trip adviser also so i suggest you get your comments and reveiws in order. I.e.....(dirty toilets, car park too expensive so didnt spend any time looking around) wow... that got you 4 stars. well done. Lets hope someone flushes the joint down the toilet before that person visits again. Might get a full five stars.

Lots of people have mentioned the car parking on here, as a repeat visitor to great yarmouth let me pass on a tip: if you park in the two car parks either end of the golden mile (opposite pleasure beach and next to the bowls... More
