Town centre old world pub, nice pint of Theakston's beer. Very low ceilings and small snugs. Polite service and plenty of screens to watch the sports channels or other areas to either dine or catch up with friends.

Great pint of Wainwrights. Food disappointing, child size portions, just frozen fish chips and peas Iceland style. I've marked it as average, happy to go back for a beer but won't be eating again.

Superb Staff and made us really welcome after Motorway accident had cancelled our trip to Glasgow. We headed back south and dropped in for a beer and a bite to eat staff and locals made us welcome and it was a hostelry with historical features.

This was a wonderful find, beer is fantastic and it has a really nice interior, proper traditional pub decor which is rare to find. Lunch was nice too. Simple menu but great price, just right for popping in while wife was shopping.

Staff are really friendly we called hoping to have a meal but unfortunately they only serve meals during the day. So stayed for a drink.
