We do find that the "no tasters" rule works well during the two festivals we do each year, our regulars are happy to try all the ales on offer as the are very carefully selected and the quality is usually very good or excellent. I...More

Lordy! Talk about you've arrived. You wouldn't normally expect to find such a bonafide brilliant pub in a quiet Lowestoft backstreet, about a ten minute walk from the station. If the SA had existed two thousand years ago, modern day archaeologists would have to trowel...More

Hi Matthew, I appreciate you taking time to give us a review, just thought I might pick a few holes in your critique of our popular pub. For starters, if you used the pub a bit more regularly you would have known about the change...More

It's a good real ale house, the best in North East Suffolk CAMRA area again for the third year running. There'll be Yorkshire beer festival on over the weekend, all ales at £3.40 a pint. It will be extremely busy.
