About
Apple Court Gardens have been under new ownership since 2017. Please note that we are closed from 1 October until 1 May. This beautiful, much-loved garden was created in the 1980s in an old walled kitchen garden. On the edge of the New Forest, and just 1 mile from the coastal village of Milford on Sea, it makes part of a great day out. The 1 acre garden has a White Garden, Hosta Walk, sub tropical borders, grass borders, a Japanese garden and Daylily gardens. Come and have a cup of tea and slice of homemade cake in our summerhouse overlooking the garden. It really is a plant lovers paradise, with unusual specimens from throughout the world and a lovely tranquil place to spend an hour or so. Our nursery (free to enter) has unusual specimens as well as seasonal flowers, and palms and acers. Please follow us on Facebook or Instagram for more information about opening times and special events.

Recommended and so peaceful
Sep 2019 • Couples
We went here today and the £5 was well worth it. An acre of walled gardens with lovely seating areas. I could have sat in the secret garden all afternoon. The lady owner was very welcoming and we could help ourselves to tea, coffee and cake. There were the most enormous join carp in one of the ponds. It would be lovely if it was nearer home.

What a lovely find.
Sep 2019
This garden is just lovely. It has been made into different rooms or individual gardens, from a wonderful Japanese garden where the huge koi carp swim in a pond surrounded by gravel pathways and interesting plants, to an amazing white garden which is circular. The nursery was stocked with lots of plants which we had seen in the garden and there was 20% off these as well today. Tea, coffee and cake are available in the summer house which overlooks the 3 ponds and cascading water. A lovely place to visit.

Wow it really is a beautiful garden. It is so special. With lots of different rooms. They offer a tea balcony and lots of cakes to eat. I could not stop taking pictures. I can really recommend a visit.

The calmest place in the area
Aug 2019
The garden is small enough to believe it's your own and has many separate rooms all with a different character and all sublimely calm. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area and the excellent plants for sale.

Hummingbird hawk-moth!
Aug 2019
Two of us visited on a Friday afternoon. It was quiet with only a handful of other visitors, which helped it be peaceful and relaxing. It's a small garden but nicely set out with lots of interest. We spent 10-15 minutes sat watching the carp in a lovely setting. But the highlight was seeing a hummingbird hawk-moth for about 5 minutes. It wasn't bothered by us and we got loads of photos and video of it. The nursery part was stocked with some interesting and healthy looking plants. It could maybe be £4 each rather than £5 but that's a small matter.

Has been enthusiastically restored but perhaps overpriced towards end of season
Aug 2019
This is an interesting garden to visit but at £5 per person (£10 for couple), owners could perhaps consider price reduction once the main areas of interest are past.
I'm sure it would be worth the cost at height of season.

Always a delight
Aug 2019 • Couples
Sitting with a coffee in the summer house near the entrance to Apple Court is one of our simple pleasures. A long view of the garden and pomds and peace even with other visitors around. A lovely, must-see place for everyone. The cake is usually pretty good too. Terry Langford.

One of the best small gardens we have ever visited.
Jul 2019 • Couples
These gardens are exquisitely laid out. Several “rooms” with different themes knit together seamlessly. Tranquil setting to relax and enjoy the well executed planting and to enjoy the tea and cakes available from the entrance. We would love to pick this garden up and take it home with us. At just one acre, one could consider it a quick place to visit but take your time here, relax and savour the moment.
