Hired a motor boat and sailed round the lake. Lovely and very relaxing on a sunny day. The park was pleasant and we bought an ice cream at the cafe. A very nice afternoon out.

A very grim and greasy bacon sandwich with a not very hot awful machine cappacino. Self service which is absolutely fine, setting is lovely but it’s just not a good eatery.... my advice take a flask and a picnic of your off the the lake.

We love the walk around Fairhaven lake, doing a few circuits, looking across the bay to Southport and having an ice cream or cuppa from the cafe. Relaxing!

The lake has boats to hire which looked fun, but instead we walked around the lake. There was a cafe by the side of the lake.

I would think so if they're healthy. It's a mile and a half on the flat, so should take around half an hour each way.
