I was apprehensive about this trip, especially as it's not that cheap to get in but I'm glad we did it. The history here is really interesting and somewhat sad really. It must have been a bustling, important port once and I would have loved...More

Having paid £40 for 4 of us to get in we were expecting a lot more than what was on offer. This place had a very depressing feel about, like it had once been something good but not anymore. There was a blacksmith there who...More

Visited on a quiet day. Staff were helpful and friendly. There's a play park for kids. Nice picnic areas and the talks are very informative. Very interesting. We visited for about 4.5 hours.

Just a 10 minute drive from the Horn of Plenty, this place takes you back in time. You get to see how people lived when mining was thriving. The trip to the mine was very educational. Well worth a visit.
