The Bratch is the perfect spot for a family afternoon of exploring canalside history and local wildlife. Take a walk along the towpath and admire the historic bridge and pumping station, or spot the locks, originally built as a staircase! Follow the exciting bat trail, and be sure to keep an eye out for some unusual canal wildlife. If you look carefully you might even spot an otter!

Nice enough spot but nothing out of ordinary as locks go. Parking not easy. Reading the comments from others I was expecting there to be more to it.

Any canalside walk is always good, but the short stretch of the Staffs and Worcester between the Bratch and Bumblehole Lock is particularly relaxing, Parking - as other reviewers have noted - can be a bit of a problem.

A very interesting and enjoyable visit. If boats are going through the locks it's a plus as it provides lots of interest and shows you the ingenious building of times past

a very well looked after set of locks - and definately worth a look see... BUT parking is a nightmare, very small carpark next to locks.. So visit in off peak times - not weekends...

I have been through Bratch many many times over the years since 1969 and in the old days there was never a keeper either. Folk think it is a staircase with the staircase procedure - but it is not as it has somewhat hidden side...More
