Interesting permanent exhibits on show and new exhibitions and art collections throughout the year. Friendly and informative staff. Shop is good too.

A beautifully laid out museum. The exhibits are very interesting and well labelled . There are some real gems in the display cabinets.

I hadn't visited the museum for over 10 years, my kids dragged me along as they had enjoyed a short impromptu visit there with Mum last month. Taking our time, we found ourselves entertained for over 2 hours examining the exhibits and I was pleased...More

visited today and was extremely impressed with the quality and variety of the exhibits. the museum covered local history and also a number of other exhibits including art and antiques. also on show today was a wonderful exhibition of clothing through the ages.

A wonderful spoof exhibition was on during my visit this October! A let's pretend item! Staff are all friendly and the museum has an excellent costume collection. Informative and well presented, I would recommend anyone to visit. The South Downs archaeology is fascinating.

While there are some good things within this museum, about 90% of the museum hasn't changed in 30 years. I can see how if you haven't been before it would be interesting, but not for a repeat visit,
