We run a cross genre, alternative live music dive bar, covering rock, metal, indie, grunge, industrial, punk, folk, trance, acoustic and everything in between. In short we don't do mainstream. We welcome everyone from all alternative scenes. We pride ourselves on carrying on an old tradition of accepting and respecting everyone who enjoys diversity & individual tastes. It's a laid-back and friendly venue where people can socialise, dress to their own tastes, get a bit messy or just rock out. With regular jam sessions on Wednesday nights, musicians are welcome to just turn up, plug in and play.Any bands wanting to get in touch can email us about bookings or come in to have a chat in person.

Compared with the typical establishment in the surrounding areas, this local music venue is probably one of the better options to be found. That is not to say, however, that it is exceptionally good either. Some of the staff are friendly, some of the staff...More

I love the Harp Restrung. It's a lovely small alternative bar, hidden away in Folkestone. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but they're not trying to be. I love going to the Harp because the staff are lovely and caring, they make sure...More

The Harp is a wonderful music venue. The open mic nights (Wednesdays) showcase some brilliant young talent and often finish with a solo from an accomplished bass player. Not the most attractive exterior in the world the bar offers a good range of drinks and...More
