I visit Snelmore Common often. It is an oasis of heathland with an accessible walk for wheelchairs/buggies plus more undulating tracks. Plenty of free car parking plus toilets and picnic benches. See if you can spy the ponies!

This park offers gentle walking and some wheelchair friendly paved paths. A great safe place to let children ride their cycles etc, run around, have a picnic, celebrate a birthday with their friends.

Easy parking and pleasant walks. Lots of wildlife all year. Bikes are permitted and so are dogs. There are picnic tables in various places.

This is a lovely day out. Well-behaved dogs are allowed off the lead. We found it by accident and have gone several times since. Even on a rainy day it's fun. Picnic areas, amply parking and those lovely ponies. Good place.

Snelsmore is lovely and peaceful and surprisingly peaceful given how close it is to both Newbury and the M4. Nice dog friendly walks, a convenient car park and some nice views across to Winterbourne.

There are plenty of little tracks to be explored on bikes, just need to be careful of dogs roaming around off their leads.
