For Downton Abbey fans, a real opportunity to immerse yourself (albeit briefly) in the rooms where the drama unfolded - is as wonderful as the TV seasons depict with the movie now currently filming there. But this estate gives you a fascinating understanding of what...More

A surprise for my Wife did not disappoint. Being the Wednesday after the bank holiday, it was nicely busy but not overcrowded. The house is stunning and the Egyptian exhibit fascinating.

The gardens were nothing liked I expected having visited more grand country estates than I can count. Everything looked tired, forgotten, haggard and ignored. I can tell you with all certainty that the crew do a tremendous job editing on the TV show to make...More
