Amazing setting lovely grounds and beautiful castle. You can buy different entry tickets but the castle is a must and there is a tea room for drinks and snacks

Driving in England is a bit of a challenge especially the roundabouts!! But once you get the hang of it going to highclere castle is well worth a family scream or two. No crowds, relaxing gardens, lovely memories of Downton and of course the history.

I don’t know but we did not need the receipt. They had our names. No guarantee but they did have their stuff together.

Hi Emily, I believe the grounds of Highclere Castle are open free to the general public any time the castle is open so you should still be able to walk around the outside if it is open that day. If you are not visiting... More
