Grandson loved the tram ride to the beach, friendly staff, pleasant ride up & down, and so cheap only £1 each. A great piece of Victorian engineering

After a stroll along the front to the spa, it was an easy way to get back to the shops, rather than walk up,the steep incline.

Never used this before but we had been walking for quite some time, it was hot, so we decided to take the easy way up. £1 to travel. Pleased we did it. A bit of history. Long may it remain.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review - it sounds like you took the Spa lift, if it was down to the Spa. Central Tramway is between the Grand Hotel and Olympia further along the South Beach by the St Nicholas Cliff Gardens...More

we took the tram from the prom up to the high street as we were looking for a particular restaurant for lunch. Fantastic experience travelling in the old fashion way.
