We're a family with young children who stay often in the Palm Court hotel so the tramway is essential to us for reaching the front. It's traditional, beautifully restored and my kids love it. The staff are friendly and the charge is well worth it...More

We often visit Scarborough and have come to love the tramway journey from the beach into town or vice-versa, although £1 for one person doesn't seem expensive and it has the added bonus of being dog friendly, on our last visit just under a year...More

Very short rode but well worth a £1 coin. Great piece of Victoriana on quaint sea front. Staff very polite

We spent a lovely warm sunny day in Scarborough yesterday, even though it is still only March, strolling along the seafront. By the time we had reached the end of the seafront my energy levels were depleted, probably at the sight of the steps up...More

Not only does this save your legs from walking the many stairs but you also get the best view of the Scarborough sea front. Definitely worth the money.
