the contrast between the green grass of the fields aboce the ancient red cliffs is really somthing to see, there are displays explaining the geological history of the jurassic coat which put it all in context, Visit if in the area

Jacobs ladder beautiful views over the bay towards sandy bay, pebble beach until tide out, then sand. Great walk to ladram bay over cliff path .

For us Jacobs Ladder was the start of a leisurely walk to Ladram Bay. It's a coastal walk with climbs and descends which may not be suitable for everyone. But take your time and you can walk the 4 1/2 km in less than 2...More

Some things are closed from the end of September but we had a nice walk around Sidmouth, then along to Jacob's Ladder. Our dogs wouldn't climb any of the steps so that's worth considering. We walked back and along the road to the Connaught Gardens...More

There is a car park opposite. The dog friendly beach area varies on time of year and is via a steep hill or steps.
