We had really nice walking there with my husband. Weather was nice. We had enjoyed ourselves. It is very good place for friends and families with children. Also lots of places for guests to see something new.

When I have time I do a circular walk around both sides of The Embankment.. This bridge is my favourite bridge. It is a beautiful design and always makes me smile

This is described by the residents of Bedford as a 'suspension' bridge but is really a stressed arch. It is an interesting design but very steep for the elderly and infirm and impossible for wheelchair users. It is a feature of the town and appears...More

A cold Sunday afternoon windy and rainy, and what a wonderful way to blow those cob webs away. We are so lucky in Bedford and it was great to see others taking advantage

We walked along the riverbank along with many other families on a Sunday. It is a beautiful, well-manicured and safe area along the River Ouse. There is a lock to explore and many beautiful brick buildings along the road. Definitely a place for quiet contemplation...More

The food was ok , very small side dishes... pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff. Not sure I’d rush back, but definitely not the worst meal I’ve had Give it a go and see what you think 🤔

Ideal place for a pleasant walk - the river bank is lovely and well-looked after and there are flotillas of swans and other water birds frequenting this stretch of the river all year round. Good place for a picnic.

Great place for a walk by the river. Some great photo opportunities and a chance to see the wildlife. There are also some good eating places to grab a drink and a bit to eat after all the walking

Lovely place but a little dull at times. Best times will be when it is really sunny. However, a nice walk in here never fails.
