I love the park but the parking at Sheepmount is ridiculous. Camper vans always parked there, people parking there all day & going off to work. Not fair if you’re just wanting to park and go for a picnic or a walk with the dog....More

Visited here whilst on a day out visiting the castle. Lovely, clean park with lots to do for all ages.

Great park, adjacent to the Castle. Fantastic space for dog walking, lots of lovely gardens & trees & play spaces dor the kids. Only minor disappointment - toilets all locked up, with no communication explaining the reason.

This is a really nice little park and we spent a good few hours playing with the kids. A short walk from the town centre it is a perfect place to go for a run around after a day of shopping.

Whether you're out for a picnic, photography or just a stroll in the park..Bitts park is lovely.. The firework display on or near the 5th of November in Carlisle has to be one of the most choreographed I've seen..

We walked through Bitts park en route from the main car park to the castle. There is a large children's play area, a new adult exercise area which was similar to outdoor exercise areas in America. Lots of trees and bedding plants so it looked...More

Yes there is. £1:10 per hour or part hour at the top car park - but free if you can find a space by the Sheepmount one( clear across the other side but easily accessed)

It has an enormous grassfield where concerts are held for example in July Little Mix are coming and it is held there. However during a flood or in rain it gets very, very boggy.
