Nice place for a walk around the tarn in most weather conditions, and there's boating and other water activities, when your ready for refreshments there's the cafe which is well worth a visit.

I came up here last autumn so quiet. Pay and Display car park. Nice walk around the tarn. Views spoiled by the derelict hotel at south end of tarn which has been derelict for at least 7 years.

Owners do let dogs off lead but if your dog likes to explore there is lots of space and s/he would be able to wander off if s/he had a mind to.
