A trip to Colchester is never complete without a couple of drinks in the Victoria on the way back to the station. The beer and wine is always good but what makes this pub great is the staff and the other people in there. It's...More

Welcoming award-winning town centre pub with a good range of ales, craft and bottled beers. Staff are brilliant and a nice beer garden for warm days. Live music on Sunday evenings and a great jukebox too. Toilets a bit 3rd world and no bar food...More

In town for an overnight stay, the plaque above the front door about the pub's Yorkshire connections drew us in. A busy Saturday night and the place was full and noisy. But the bar-staff were fast, and they and the other patrons very friendly. Very...More

In nearly everyway this is the perfect pub but the landlord (might have caught him on an off day of course) is the most unpleasant and rude I have ever come across so sadly won't be going back

We frequent the Victoria quite often with our small dog, always a welcome reception, good music, plenty of seating and well priced drinks. Dog biscuits for sale on the bar too!

Needs a piss mat in the gents and peperrami original. Try the famous pickled egg and Ghandi's flipflop challenge

Super great Pub. At least six beers on tap that you can sample. From 3.5 to 4 pounds per pint. Owner/barman very knowledgeable about beer and super friendly. Went above and beyond to find me charging cable for phone. Chilled laid back atmosphere...perfect to spend...More

We had a great night in the town and our last visit was to the Victoria Inn. If you like ale, this is a great place. If you like lager not so much. The choice is very limited.
