So nice I decided to move here to live.Been voted best place to live for many years and you can see why. So many pretty buildings and lovely places to eat & shop.

We stopped at Stamford on our way to Lincoln for lunch. Stamford is the Cotswold of the North lots of old stone buildings and great shops. A very good car park well signed but also well checked so make sure to pay for a ticket....More

Stamford has charm. The buildings are well kept and the streets are free from litter and dog mess. Some streets are still cobbled. Flower pots decorate the town. The town has been used in many film sets. One of the best English market towns still...More

Stamford is lovely historic place, a great place to explore the history by walking through the quaint walks, streets and then relaxing with a nice coffee / tea at one of the many lovely coffee / tea rooms and then enjoy fabulous lunch or dinner...More

Beautiful Georgian stone town, pretty shopping area with lots of shops to suit all tastes and pockets. It is pedestrian, so no cars / lorries to interrupt. Very busy at all times of the week but plenty of car parks., tea shops and restaurants.

For anyone who loves history, independent shops, rare book dealers and antique shops, Stamford is perfect. The restaurant and wine bar scene keeps improving and it is ideal for a short break from London...in fact i did most of my Christmas shopping there this year...More
