Lovely grounds for a walk or a picnic in the summer. Plenty of free parking and the cafe is also good for a cuppa or a meal.

Run through here in the summer months, in the evenings it's beautiful. Recommended for walks alone or with others. The gardens and house are stunning.

Had a lovely dog walk and then ended up having a quick coffee in the coffee shop in the grounds. The dogs were not allowed inside but as it was a nice day we were able to sit outside in the sunshine

It's peaceful, clean, beautiful and one of my favourite places to visit. Just walking around here makes you smile and feel happy. The house is a great place to visit, for a fee, and the orangery do the most amazing cakes! It's a must do...More

This is a lovely location and it is free to park and wander around the parkland. You can of course also visit the house and gardens which have a charge.

When we are visiting Stamford we always include a walk across the park from Stamford town and have coffee break in the Orangery at Burleigh House usually sitting in the garden a perfect way to spend a couple of hours

A 'must visit' destination in an unforgettable setting. Access to most of the Burghley estate is free including the cafe. The house and gardens are well worth the entrance fees. A walk can be accessed from near the town by foot or a short drive...More

The park is large and impressive and is free. Good walks around the lakes and to the famous lion bridge. Gardens and house are extra and well worth seeing.

Check out the park during the week day when nobody is around! It's beautiful, relaxing, calm, and the pups love it!! The sites of Burghley House as you approach feel like you're walking into Oz!

I am afraid you can only go through the official entrance during official opening times.
