Lovely atmosphere with fantastic staff. Locals are friendly and welcoming. A range of well priced drinks available to suit all. 10/10 would recommend!

10/10 would definitely visit again. Lovely staff all very friendly and welcoming. Best pint served in Darlingtons oldest pub.

Lovely little pub, staff are pleasant and give you a warm welcome. Worth dropping in for a few tipples.

Brilliant friendly staff that are always willing to chat. Could do with a lick of paint but thats an easy fix.

Called in here to escape from the November cold. A nice warm atmosphere in a cosy traditional pub atmosphere. Met Sarah who seemed really nice and welcoming. Will call in for a pint again soon next time i'm in the area

The wife and I were out shopping and decided to have a drink whilst the Mrs rested her feet. Past a few pubs walking from the shopping centre but all looked modern but unappealing. We spotted the Red Lion and we were not disappointed. Stayed...More

Across from the Mercure hotel you´ll find this little place. Wonderful staff and surprisingly good lunch. We hade fish and chips and we were all pleased.
