Due to council cuts Darlington may lose its indoor market, this is a historic building in the centre of Darlington with many independant traders. It is vital to keep these stalls going or Darlington town centre will turn into a wasteland of charity shops and...More

While it isn't as well-populated as in former years, this traditional indoor market still has much to offer and is certainly worth a browse. The traders are all specialists in their fields, and offer good, friendly service (including advice if needed). The market excels in...More

Darlington Market Hall was once a thriving hub of local enterprise, Sadly, after decades of neglent and inept management, this place now feels like it is in its deaththrows. I simply cannot see how it will survive the current high street decline, unless massive improvements...More

A nice place to visit when in Darlington. Loads of pubs and eating places. If it's a sunny day then get a bench and enjoy the sun. If you have had one to many the bus service is also available

The entire area has the most amazing architecture and the use of the use of the market hall and is both innovative and in keeping with the spirit of a town centre. We loved it.

Spend an afternoon strolling around Darlington Town Centre!! A very picturesque Northern town with loads of character. Chain shops in the centre and boutique shops in Grnage Road - a Northern gem!!!

Sadly the market has dwindled, however it is still our favourite butchers in the area, and superb for good steak! always a friendly service and never disappointing. It is also a stunning building, a piece of history. Good access for people with mobility difficulties.

The clock tower was restored in 2000 and is very imposing and dominates the square. The indoor market is a traditional one, with lots of stalls hawking various items and includes a good butchers and lots of fresh produce. Worth a walk around
