This is known by the locals, holiday makers go to the Pier which is not as nice and more crowded. The sand is beautiful on a par with many holiday resorts abroad and stretches for miles all the way to Sandbanks up to Southbourne.

The beach is nice and a little bit rough. Nice to walk there in winter times and lovely to sit if it is warm enough.

All our family were with us for Christmastime and we thoroughly enjoyed a walk all along Branksome Chine in the sunshine and bracing wind to Bournemouth Pier and back. A walk that is recommended.

Lovely walkway beside the beach and sea. Good for walkers although some of the cyclists can get a little threatening.
