Know this building well, it is full of old historical photos, pictures and sea objects. The staff are very helpful, chatty and knowledgeable. It is well worth a walk around, despite it^s small size. The little gift area had lots of small souvenirs to purchase...More

Family mooring close by, but never been open whilst about. However, I got lucky and took the opportunity to have a look around. Basically, if you get the chance DO IT! And don't forget the donation at the end ;-)

After watching the Film Dunkirk what an opportunity to see a boat that was actually there. Great glimpse of how a Lifeboat Station was, caught in time, friendly welcome and I bought something nice!

The museum was closed when we walked past which was a shame. We did peek through the windows and it looked pretty interesting. Just a shame it was closed really.

This museum has a great example of what lifeboats use to be, with a lifeboat used in the Second World War. Poole has a strong history with the RNLI with its college only 10 minute walk. You can see the old and new.

Nice little place to see old RNLI boat. Bought a couple of items from the gift area. Can imagine it gets cramped if too many visit.

As your find lovey gifts and crafts All at bargain prices as 100 traders inside this building right on the quay next to the pub . These 2 attractions on the quay make a great combined visit

it's what you do with it that counts...This little museum is packed to the gunnels with history of these reluctant heroes. Always worth a visit, even if it does only take '5 mins' and make a donation, you have paid tribute to these brave volunteers.
